A Study of Performance and Comparison of NoSQL Databases: MongoDB, Cassandra, and Redis Using YCSB

Background/Objectives: Relational databases are a commonly utilized technology that allows for the storage, administration, and retrieval of various data schemas. However, certain big databases, executing queries can become time-consuming inefficient procedure. Furthermore, storing enormous volumes necessitates servers with greater capacity scalability. have limits when it comes to dealing scalability amounts data. On other hand, non-relational database systems, often known as NoSQL, were created better fulfill demands key-value records. there several NoSQL options, majority not yet been extensively compared. The goal this research is examine different evaluate their performance in terms typical storage retrieval. Methods: In study, we use YCSB tool measure three databases: MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis. We test six workloads 100000, 250000, 500000, 750000, 1000000 operations. Our was designed five operations, i.e., 1000000, see which most suitable applications large amount process. Findings: MongoDB superior performing among Cassandra numerous optimizations used by designers solutions improve performance, such good cache memory operation, direct impact on execution time. all except workload D, has significantly reduced latency across operation counts.
